De-nied.

So, I'm currently a full time student at Community College in Charlotte, NC. I applied to transfer to Appalachian State way back in November. Turns out my transcripts didn't get sent right way. I found out about the fluke and got my transcripts sent to the university early last month. After having not heard a peep form Appalachian for a while, I decided to once again check the MyApp website, only to find a big 'ol DENIED under my application status. I had grades i was very proud of in both High School and my first semester of community college so I think the issue was in getting my application completed too late.

So, my question is this; what are my options? Would it do any good to phone up the admissions office and plea my case? Or should I just hold tight until I can re-apply for the spring semester?

I really appreciate any thoughts, comments, and advice.

Thanks!

I think you should definitely at least call the admissions office and explain your situation especially since you said that you’re confident about your grades.

the problem is probably because you only have one semester under your belt so that isnt enough to show the school that you will succeed on the college

Some colleges want you to have a specific amount of units completed when you transfer (mostly GE and some major prep). Here is CA we need 60 units to transfer which is roughly 2 years at a CC. Maybe you just need more units.
