Deadline?

If the priority filing date for the CSS Profile for a college is Nov. 15, does that mean that I didn't have to turn it in on Nov. 1 (the day my ED Commonapp was due)? I thought I had until then, but now I'm hearing otherwise. Did I screw up my chances for financial aid?

Does anyone else think it sucks to have to pay for the CSS Profile for schools that haven't even accepted you?

Look at the college's finaid webpage; there are usually deadlines posted there. Do not go by the dates posted on the collegeboard site. What school did you apply ED to?

Boston University

Does it also suck that you have to pay for college application fees, SAT, SATII, ACT, AP tests, etc? If so, don't apply. If you want to qualify for financial aid, and most families do, the FAP fees are a very small price to pay. You can always cheap out and go to a community college. Boston U this year is $51,000, not including a travel allowance. Why not consider this -value received for dollars spent.

Looks like if you applied EDI to BU the Profile was due Nov 1, so if you completed it you are good.
You have to do your finaid stuff when you apply so the schools can send your offers; as far as paying for whether you are not accepted, you are paying collegeboard, they are a business and are just collecting the fees. They do not care if you are accepted or not.
