How has anyone dealt with the admissions conditions? Have you managed to sneak on by with a D in a class that required a C? I've seen that enough times, now here's one that's getting me:

What if you need a B in a class that you're going to get a C in? Why would they even do that? It's kinda sad, but unless something short of a miracle happens in 9 hours I'll be getting a C in one of my classes lol.

Too bad, Bs all around everywhere else! Hehe.

Last year, I had incredibly relaxed admissions standards. Maintain a 3.0 overall GPA.

going down to a 3.0 would have required me to fail nearly every single class. I had all As except 1 B.

Call admissions and talk to your admissions counselor.

And hopefully you have a backup school just in case >.<

Davis is my backup school Hehe, this totally weirded out one of my classmates.

More info on this for ya’ll :)

I was told that the specific conditions are decided by the school you apply to, and are generic to the classes you take, not the situation you’re in. They like to ask for Bs because they think the community college version of said classes “isn’t up to their standards.”

Go figure.

Apparently they can’t be waived, maybe the person I spoke to wasn’t telling the whole story, but he said if I really really wanted UCI I should just ask to go for my alt major. Sadly, I’d only be able to change to engineering on an appeal basis afterwards and that’s too much of a risk for me to take.

So there we have it Good luck guys!
