dean's list

when do we know if we are on the dean's list for 2008 fall semester?

If so, do we get any certificate?

Thanks

You know when you look at your rank. Top third in pratt make it I think don’t know about trinity.

As for certificate, I’d be happy to help!

Here ya go: [Dean’s List Certificate on Flickr - Photo Sharing!](Dean's List Certificate | SBR249 | Flickr)

And you will get a letter in the mail from the dean too (at least I know in pratt you do).

In Trinity you get a letter as well. Should find out in a few weeks, but the T-Reqs site has past cutoffs. Usually around the 3.675 level for Trinity.

How can we look at our rank?

Your class rank will be in your Academic History.
If you are a freshman, your class rank may not be up yet but it should be up by the beginning of spring semester.

Thanks, Mondo!

Upper class ranks aren’t up yet either. They usually take a couple of weeks to show up or get updated.

Do class ranks actually matter for anything more than Dean’s List?

Honestly, no. I don’t know any employers who ask for them, and most colleges don’t even calculate rank, so it’s rarely ever going to come up on grad school stuff. Everyone at Duke is intelligent, and some majors are harder than others, so it’s kind of irrelevant.
