This might sound slightly ridiculous, but I just applied to U Wash and due to home internet server problems was only able to submit my application 2.5 hours past deadline.

What do I do? It accepted my payment but does that mean it accepted my application as well? What? Help? Did I just ruin my future? How do I rectify this? It is time stamped, and also shows that I started the application a month in advance. Sent all my scores and everything. Should I send an email?

Though you are the poster-board example of why applicants should heed the advice to complete their applications well in advance of the deadline, you likely do not have an issue. Call UWash and determine but colleges generally give some leeway on the midnight deadline and a few hours over is usually OK.

Colleges are in the business of admitting students. Your missing the stated deadline will not adversely affect you. Do you think someone is at the controls auto-deleting everything that didn’t get timestamped before the stated deadline? Or is there an envelope burning/shredding party for everything without the proper postmark?

I’ll be there will be a hundred similar posts on Jan 01.

Good example of why I shouldn’t post on cc after midnight because I am clearly irrational. I called them and I guess it wasn’t an issue after all.
