Hey guys!

So currently, I am registered to take the January SAT this month, but I'm still having doubts if whether or not I should take it. This is going to be the 2nd time I've taken it (took one in October), but seeing the way things are right now, I'm not too confident. I've been studying for the past three weeks with some improvement, but I'm still not seeing a lot of gains (especially in Critical Reading). My dilemma is that I've always heard that the January SAT curve tends to be a little bit more lenient than March (because that's when a lot of juniors take the test).

Now, the thing is I'm wondering if I should still take it. Should I take the January SAT and hope that the curve is going to be easy or should I just try to study my butt off until the March SAT and hope that the curve isn't too harsh? It feels like during the past three weeks, I've been able to comprehensively review for the math section (read Gruber's, some parts of Barron's, and went thru PWN the SAT), review for the writing ok (but still need more practice), and barely for critical reading (need to memorize DH and practice passages by being more decisive).

I don't want to take the SAT too many times (3 is my max) so I don't want to screw up and get a bad score on this one (planning to have my 2nd test be around 2100-2200 before reaching my target score).

If it helps, I'm also planning to reserve my subject tests for May and June so I have two chances to take them in case I get a bad score in May.

Thanks! Any helpful advice is appreciated! :)
