Does anyone remember what they answered for the Hess’ Law problem with C and 1/2O2 and CO yielding CO2?

i dont remember that but for the hess law diagram i got the Delta H of 1= the heats of 2+3

i got that too^ that was basic vector addition.

was one of the correct answers that water’s freezing/melting point is 0 deg C

Didn`t the beta particle question ask which one was closest to an electron? In that case wouldn’t the correct answer be beta particle?

yea i dont think beta particle was an option,

the question asked which one is closest to a beta particle. Since you can have a beta + and a beta - would it either be positron or electron?

positron thats the only term even relevant with beta decay

There were two answers that worked for that one.
[Beta decay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Beta decay - Wikipedia)
I think it was a bad question.

I put positron; however, there is both negative and positive beta decay. I would petition the CB, but I’m too lazy.

Oh RIGHT my bad. I put electron Aren’t beta particles generally negative though?

Even if they are “generally” negative, why should that matter? If they can be both, the question is inherently flawed. What do you think the curve will be for an 800?

^True. Would they cancel the question then? I think they have done that before from what I remember.

I’m hoping like -7 800 but I doubt it…

Didn’t they ask what’s closest to an electron? I answered beta decay because they has no mass and the chrage is -1 same as an electron. If they cancel the question do we get 1 free point?

My bad its another way round they ask which is closest to beta. Anyone remember the normal boiling point its on the point D right? Critical point is E And which is closest to 1H1 ? I answered proton

I am more than positive (see what i did there?) that the answer to the beta particle question was ELECTRON. That was so straightforward, stop over thinking it.

…actually positrons can be emitted too
collegeboard is SO Trifling

Yeah it was just a bad question. Someone should write to them.

if they cancel the question , we will get the 1 free point then?

Yes, but only if they are aware the question was a bad one. Someone needs to inform them. I’m too lazy to do it myself ;).
