The english section was medium in difficulty. Not quite easy compared to former tests nor hard compared to Barron’s english ACT sections (maybe I’m thinking of the wrong book). Anyway there were tense rules and weird sentence structures. For example the question about light flooding the window and forming “seem(s)” required good english to properly identify what seem was reffering to. Also the who vs whom question and few analysis of the whole passage were medium difficult. I think I did well but not extremely well on this section.

This was my first ACT and I am satisfied with my performance but will definitely retake it. It was a unique test and hope the next one will be more fair or on my part be more prepared;)

I did so much studying and tutoring this time around. After taking the test Saturday I was so mad bc first of the English section seemed alot harder than usual and was even tricky. I was also mad about the science, I got to like #30 with 5 min left and most of it was more difficult than usual

I want to make it clear that the science answer was FEATHERS. Keratin is a good biological connection to this question; however, in the passage (I read it) it was clearly stated that feathers are not commonly expected to remain in fossils.
And to the kid who asked the question twice and already got an answer, the correct answer to the last math question wad neither c nor d! The correct answer was H.
Here are a few math questions people may still be confused about:
- the one where a chord is inscribed in a circle. I assumed and proved on the test using trignometry that the answer was the radius. Using the polygon angle formula and using cosine I determined this during the test.
- For the sin^2 question, you needed to utilize the quadratic equation and get roots. Then you do cos^-1(the root) to get your answer.
And to comment on the science section: I was thoroughly dissapointed that the science section stated that birds are reptile-like and we all know reptiles are cold blooded, ectothermic; however, after looking up the body temperature regulations of birds it has been settled that birds are endotherms…
Additionally some of the science questions required analysis and former information that most students who havent taken science rigorous classes would struggle with.

@jj Yes the science section was difficult

what was the answer to the in sport of question?

@jatt i think c or d.

For the ‘in sport’ question, was the answer something along the lines of the sail went smoothly through the winds?
Also, do any of you guys remember the science question directly after the unusual fossil one? I thought that question might’ve been difficult but I completely forget what it was.

My D took it this past Saturday for the 4th and last time. Each time she’s taken the test she’s raised her composite score by 2 points…so hope the same holds true this time.

I asked my ap chem teacher [who also happens to be the ap bio teacher] – he believes the answer to the fossilize was feathers …

Did anyone here happen to save the google doc some of us had worked on earlier?

I understand that feathers was a possible answer, but can anyone justify why it wouldn’t be beak?

does anyone remember the question on math: write A in terms of B and it was like a^2b= something. What did people get for this??

And was it answer choice B?

1/ sqrt(b)

i just don’t remember what i put. I do, however, remember looking at the answers to what people had for this and agreeing. But now that i review it i can’t remember what i got on the test and am worried about it lol. Do you think i’m over thinking it? and do you remember by any chance if that was answer choice B? because i feel like i remember choosing answer choice b

I’m pretty sure it was B! Haha you’re probably fine :)

hahaha fewf. This is why these forums are bad two days after, because you can’t remember what you actually put anymore lol! Thanks so much though

Can whoever made the google doc please add me too it? I requested access and idk if its working

hey guys i got a question
i took the international act test outside the states and got a question regarding the results
can you already say, when about they´re going to be published?
i read in this thread, that plenty of test centers got closed because of the snow chaos in the states. do you guess this could decrease the waiting time for the results?
again, i´m only asking for the international test results

I cant wait to see what I got ughhh
