December 15

ahhh..i'm going psycho, my boyfriend found out today that he got into Dartmouth...so now i'm even more anxious...

I'm in MA, and we're supposed to have a wicked Nor'easter.... I sure hope it doesn't affect the mail :/

dang it...i forgot about that whole storm thing...it better not come before my letter!!!!!!

ive had the same thoughts about the storm, but its supposed to hit CT tomorrow afternoon/friday morning so it shouldnt affect the mail for saturday too much I HOPE

wow...in NH we're supposed to get snow Thurs night and Sun...ahhhh

anyone else having trouble sleeping???

I can all but guarantee that all letters will be mailed tomm, regardless of admissions decision or regional location within the US (the only exception to the tomm date might possibly be that they sent some internationals out today.) You can call on the 17th I believe.

where did you get your info..i feel really out of the loop...

ugh i'm SO anxious...

They definitely mailed them out today, i called and they told!

ughhh i cant take the anxiety...i wanna know right now either way. more than anything I dont want to have to do like 4 or 5 additional applications between now and january 1 (january 15 for some schools)

A question regarding additional apps. If you apply after Dec. 10 to schools that have a Jan. 1 deadline, can you get counselor evaluations, transcripts, and letters of recommendation sent out before Jan. 1, or do schools allow those to arrive after the deadline?

omg!! hannie08!! Where in NH do you live? Youre the first person on this forum who lives even close to me. I'm in southern maine, and its snowing horribly right now. Do you think it will affect the mail?!

I'm in Maine too, and I'm thinking (hoping!) that the snow storm won't affect the mail. The letters just left D.C. today, so by the time they get up here, the snow should have passed anyway.

omg really? what school do you go to? I really hope it doesnt affect the mail as well, I don't think I'd be able to wait past this weekend.

Hey I'm from Maine too! I love how I freak out when I see that someone else is from Maine. I'm thinking we will receive our letters by Saturday, even with the storm. Cross your fingers!

lol we're awesome basically. What schools are you guys applying to from Georgetown and which part of the state are you from?

is anyone certain that west coast and international mail went out yesterday?

gadad---that should totally depend on your high school. I know @ my school they technically have a Dec 10 deadline to turn stuff in for Jan 1 (RD), but no guidance counselor/teacher that has already written you a rec is gonna refuse to simply make a copy of a recommendation that they have already written you, esp if they know that you have just gotten deferred. should be the same deal with the transcripts

I just handed out all my teacher/counselor recommendations along with the one for Georgetown. That way if I get deferred and need to apply to the other places, I only need to worry about my end of the application.

hey maine ppl...i'm from central nh..yeah, it's snowing, our xmas concert tonight had to be postponed...but everybody has convinced me that i will def hear by tm or sat...if this stupid weather affects it, i don't know what i'm going to do w/myself.................ahhhhhhhh
