December 2010 ACT General Discussion

I would assume that more people take the December ACT because it’s the cut off for seniors, so all the procrastinators are taking it. Good luck on your scores!

Oregon, would that mean the curve is more lenient?

I wish, but I believe that the curves are all pre-set on the ACT.

Prediction (hopefully)-30+
Goal-30+
No. of practice tests-0
grade-senior

I only had one shot so I hope I did well, based on consolidated lists I think I did.

Does anyone know what time on Dec 27 the scores will be posted?

I created a program in c++ that calculates your approximate ACT score according to the amount of problems you think you missed per section. If anyone is interested you can ask me and I will post the code. Feel free to pm me also. ^ and I think they are somewhere around noon, that’s the normal shipping/posting time for most things.

can u post it or pm me

Scores come out at 1 am EST.

Sorry I had to zip the file, so hopefully you know how to extract it.

@xant396: very intersting program! ahaha. too bad i don’t know how many i missed…

@xant396, i really like the program but is there a way you can make it display the individual section scores?

Yeah no problem, give me a second.

Ok sorry for the double post… Don’t know if that is allowed. Anyways here is the ACT program version 2.0 haha. This one, like requested, will display individual section scores:

I really, really hope this is accurate. Because I like what I see >.<

Is -10 on english really probably around a 31?

^no the English section is completely off.

are the rest plausible? for english section my guess would be he has to minus about 2 points from.

^Specifically for this test, the curves will be fairly harsh; his program does not take that into account.

does anyone know the English curve. Will -7 be a 30 still?

^Possibly. I think that is reasonable. Assuming

-0=36
-1=35
-2/-3=34
-4=33
-5=32
-6=31
-7=30

OR

-0=36
-1=35
-2=34
-3/-4=33
-5=32
-6=31
-7=30

Alright I attempted to incorporate the curves so im not sure if it works:
