Yes, Hong Kong was leased to Britain, but not in 1848. Treaty of Nanking, after the First Opium War, opened 5 ports to European trade.

I just thought of another one: the one about the domestication of horses and how they contributed or something. I don’t remember the answer choices though.
And then there was the laissez-faire capitalism question.

Threat to the Portuguese in the Indian Ocean. I put the Dutch, because of the DEIC.

The development of the horse-drawn chariot around 2000 BC. I put that it made nomadic conquerors more successful.

Now, some things I am unsure of:
Why did West resent Japan? I said because they used Western tactics to gain money, very unsure of this though
Why did portuguese seek a sea route to Indian ocean? I said they had an excess population, think its wrong though.
Ibn Batuta seeing ships passage:
I said that the ships he saw were Chinese, and that the larger fleets were portuguese. I think the 2nd is wrong.
Horse chariot question… I said it spread egalitarian societies?

@ Minhas: I’ll try to answer the ones I remember from the ones you listed.

The passage about the ships seen by Ibn Batuta where Chinese? Arab? I think it was Chinese.

Was it the Berbers of north africa who later translated the books again? I think I put Russians but only because my mind was blocked. I think my choice was definitely wrong.

Brazil and Gauyana do not have spanish as their official language? Yes.

Ottaman Empire was spread over 3 continents? Yes.

Russia came into power after? Tartar control ended? Yes, the rise of Moscow and all that.

Eurasian trade was the result of the mongols something? Result of Pax Mongolia, yes.

Animism referred to Shinoism. Yes.

The Maruya and the gupta empire. Bhuddism was spread by one but not by the other. That’s what I put down too.

Crusades most benfited the Italian City States? Mhm.

Mandate of Heaven was divine right of the kings. Yes.

Muslim traders gave the british knowledge about the African Inner Sahara or something. That’s what I had too.

The ones I am not sure of/don’t remember the answer choices for:

 • Why did the Portuguese extensively seek to trade in the Indian Ocean?
 • Gandhis non colonial movement was similar to the Indian independence?
 • British control over Uganda? Omitted this one.
 • The policies of Peter The Great resemble? What were the answer choices?
 • The biggest threat to the dutch was? Options were Kingdom of France, Persians etc
 • What was the answer to the chariot question?
 • The question about iron metallurgy?

@ BillyMc: That’s right! I put that one too. Thanks, I couldn’t remember the answer for the life of me.

Questions I remember/probably missed lol

 • horse chariot in 2000 BCE helped conquest?
 • paved roads = Roman and Incan?

What was the reason for the abundance of artists in Amsterdam?

What was the official language of the Enlightenment? Or something like that?

Main language of enlightenment was French.
Abundance of artists was many patrons of the arts I believe.
Early Iron age: iron used widely for tools and such.
Muslisms thought roman papacy was strange because they did not have a strict religious hierarchy
Gorbachev’s glasnost and perestroika exposed Soviet economy as weak? The other possible answer was immediate democratization and i didnt think that was right.
Balfour declaration: England recognized independence of Arab states.
Queen Elizabeth the 1st opposed spanish monarch
Voodoo Santeria combined protestant christianity and african religions
Boer war: Afrikaaners strongly oppose English
Main exporter of sugar was Brazil
Brazil similar to Southern U.S. society in early 1800s.

Voodoo, Santeria, et cetera combined Roman Catholicism & African religion
(Wikipedia)

This made me laugh, since I put another answer, then one of the next questions asked which of the following was a tenet of Islam, and I knew the answer, and a wrong answer was about priests, so I went back and changed this question and got it right, since it also said something about not having priests.

Incorrect. Queen Elizabeth I ruled centuries after Philip II of France.

Called for a Jewish state.

How many questions can be missed for an 800? Isn’t it 16 or so for World History?

The question said 15th century, so it would be Russia throwing off Tatar control.

“…when she sent an English army to aid the Protestant Dutch rebels against Philip II…” - Wikipedia

I’m pretty sure it was Elizabeth I of England who opposed Philip II of Spain

Depends. One released test had a curve of -17=800, so that would be 14 incorrect answers.

Damn, it said Spain? I thought it said France for some reason. Oh well.

I am not sure if I am mixing up the real test with a practice one, but wasn’t there a question about what was traded from India? Spices+cotton (or clothing or something) + jewels?
There was also something about the silver from Mexico and some other Latin state being used to fund something. Ahhhh. I wish my memory was as good as your guys’.
And what about the Monroe Doctrine? Justified US intervention in Latin America or?
