<p>5 had to be it. is right in the middle so it touches every number except 0… 0 touches the signs. u cant make a code with 5 in it.</p>

<p>take more than 1 of half which is 13+1 = 14</p>

<p>26-14 = 12</p>

<p>take 1 less than half of that
12 - 6 + 1 = 7</p>

<p>26/2 + 1 = 14</p>

<p>(26-14)/2 - 1 = 5</p>

<p>7 remain</p>

<p>thus: 14+5+7 = 26</p>

<p>there were 7 pencils left at the end. the first person took one more than half. 22/2 = 11 + 1 = 12.</p>

<p>Then, the second person took one less than half of the rest. 12/2 = 6 - 1 = 5</p>

<p>12 - 5 = 7</p>

<p>i think that’s how I did it.</p>

<p>26 for the pencil question. 26/2 is 13, and the first girl took 1 more than half. so she took 14. then 12 would be remaining. Second girl took one less than half the 12, which is 5. 12-5=7. Also phone question was definitely 5.</p>

<p>@battlebrick, it was half of whatever was left. so that wuld mean 10 would be left after taking 12, according to ur solution.</p>

<p>taking 1 less than half of 10 wuld result in 6. not 7</p>

Was the experimental section math? I only had two writing sections…</p>

<p>What was the answer to the question that was like, t is 15% of w and t is r% of 20? I didnt have enough time to do that one (and the marbles question) so I guessed. t<r<w?</p>
