***December 2013 - Math Level 2***

@jonmag no rooki is right! As I seem to recall, the question asked about the domain of the function. And when you fond domain you NEVER simplify a function. Yayyyy i didn’t get my answer wrong!

@Fizza777 yeah i now remember that it was finding domain
and can someone remember the question about csc and tan (A=-0.577)? I have no idea what that question is about

I don’t remember the polar question. Was that the one where they give u the coordinate (x,-1) and you had to find how many degrees the line in the third quadrant was.

Oh right, with the polar one whose answer was 206, you were given the y coordinate which you could have plugged into the equation to find an x coordinate for a triangle in the third quadrant. With that, you could have taken the inverse tangent to find the angle and add it to 180 degrees.

And I think the curve was generous for this test. One person who took the November 2008 test( same as this one) skipped 9 and still got a 780.

Never mind about csc -.577 one I got that one right
What was f(x+2) graph shift left: y-inter (0,4) about? Can someone remember the details and answer choices of this question?

^ that one showed a graph of f(x) and wanted to know what would be the y intercept of
F(x+2). The answer was (0,4) cause the graph just shifts two units to the left

do you remember where that question was around at and what type of function was it (like quadratic, linear etc.)

It had a few curves similar to a cubic function. I think it was around number 30

For those of you who took it previously, was this month’s math II exam relatively hard?

@teamrocketgrunt
It was harder than the one I took in October.

Oh, there was this question where you had to find the value of k and they had given the “root” of the equation. So, do you just substitute the root in place of x and find k?

^yea I think I got -21 for the root question

If I get a 770 (780 if curve is good), would it be worth it to retake? I’m aiming for Ivy schools.

@TeamRocketGrunt which questions did you miss?

I skipped nine of them. The ones with probability, one of the circle ones, and the box/whisker plot one were the only ones I didn’t KNOW how to do. I just ran out of time for the others.

You should have a 780 assuming everything else is correct. One person who took the November 2008 test skipped 9 and got a 780

Does anybody remember the answer choices for the last 3 problems? I put C for all 3

@Rookie97 we might have different curve if everyone does surprisingly well or bad compared to 2008
Can someone remember where -2 was on the case of maximum y-value within [-2,4]? Was it near -2 or 0.75ish?

Did you guys find this month’s exam harder than usual?
