The suspense is real. Im anxious but at the same time scared.

You people can’t read. Don’t you see the warning in the big green rectangle at the top of the page? Oh, well, it’s your risk.

Guys please don’t talk about specific questions! I really don’t want this section of the forum banned!

@MaineLonghorn Thank you for the reminder!

Remember guys, no specific questions. If you slipped up, it happens, but remember that it’s against the rules and refrain from doing it again. Let’s try not to be banned or anything. We don’t want that to happen!

does any1 know a link or a way to find out ALL the math concepts that could possibly be tested by the ACT?

@cooldude1098 No, honestly. The best way is to read prep books I guess.

does anyone the math curve will be like -2-3 for 36?

I finished the read book and i have 2 sparknotes books. What other books would u guys reccommend?

pr 1296 for practice tests, mcgraw hill only to build confidence (but not a good indicator of actual test, to easy) and do lal the the free released exams that act publishes each year.

if you are in the 33-34 range, i recommend not worrying about the test…but if you want to scrape up the additional points use barrons 36. I took about 20-30 tests.

Wait so say I answered 32 questions and guessed 8, do you think I have a chance of getting 26 or higher?

I never really understood how the ACT changes their test questions. I know that every question varies from one test period to another. But when does the ACT test change as a whole? Like when do thy create a new test that increase the difficultly or decrease the difficultly in each section? Does anyone not understand my question? Sorry if it is poorly asked.

@XxEggRollKingxX The ACT has gradually gotten more difficult over the years. Each ACT, however, varies greatly in difficulty based on the type of science passages choosen. Also, some questions may be significantly easier or harder than the test writers expected.

@1golfer1 I am just wondering like when do they change all of them? When do they have all the questions planned out? Do they change the test every testing period? or do they have it all set up for all 6 test dates?

@XxEggrollKingxX Many ACT passages and questions are reused from old tests for equating purposes. Sometimes entire tests are given again. As for when ACT has made each test, I don’t know; maybe a couple months in advance.
For example, math questions 13, 19, and 48 (hypothetically) may have each been given on the June 2007 ACT. Depending on how we perform on those three questions compared to those 2007 test takers, ACT can calibrate the rest of the math test to account for the “smartness” of the students.

What would you guys recondmend? Barrons 36 or 1296?

@Dr3wwwww: Both. Barron’s for the help with hard areas and 1296 for the practice tests.

i heard you may be able to take the ACT on a computer pretty soon and get your scores right away. Idk if it’s true though, so does anybody else know about this?

@1golfer1 That’s interesting, so they would reuse some questions based on the performance from prior test? So the questions I encountered this December could possibly show up again in the February test?

@XxEggRollKingxX
Lol most definetely (except for 0.00001% ) they wont. ACT probably uses them or 3 or 4 or more year cycle
