<p>isn’t it 1/2 probability between 10 and 50? so it would be 30…</p>
<p>i think i put 34. There were 50 cards in the deck to start. He withdrew one card (was it the 10?) Then he realized that he had a 50% chance of pulling something in between the other two he drew out. So there were now 48 cards in the deck, and for there to be a 50% chance he’d have been 24 cards in between the other two. Hence 34 </p>

Ok, so if the guy took out 10, that means there will be 9 cards before that, and if he picks out 35, there will be 24 cards between 10 and 35 after they’ve been taken out. and then 50-35 = 15</p>
<p>If you add 15 to 9, you get 24, which is 50% of the remaining. This should help you to visualize it, just count the number of numbers in each section:</p>

I’m kind of freaking out</p>
<p>Math2 has a generous curve, especially for the December tests for the past years. I thought the test was pretty manageable, but others had a hard time. </p>
<p>I didn’t think it was too bad, but now I’m starting to realize all of the careless mistakes I made…if I don’t score and 800 do you think it would be worth a retake?</p>
<p>Depends on your situation. If you’re a Senior, then this might as well been your last SAT sitting, unless you are applying to schools that take Jan. test scores. If you have another year to go, then take it again if it’s not 750+ or to your standards. </p>
<p>@k4vglitcher ok if the choices truly were between those then I got it right. If 24 was one of the choices then I put that since I know my answer was based around 24… :(</p>
<p>if i get, say, five problems wrong but still get a 800, will I still be in the 99th percentile? or does the percentile change between how many you get wrong instead of your score out of 800? can colleges see the percentiles and do they care about them? sorry about the question overload XP</p>

b) the question with sin^2/a + sin^2/b etc. =2.17 (or something like that) (one of the last ones…)
c) question about the diff. between min and max with cosine graphs?</p>

a) I can’t remember what was in the brackets, but the answer was def. equal to 25, like this: (x-h)^2(x-k)^2=25
b) I used trig properties, so i made sin^2x = 1-cos^2x, and i think i took 3 out and made 3 subtract the number on the right side of the equation
c) can’t rmb what i got for that one sorry, but i rmb i graphed the function found the max and min values and subtracted one from another</p>

I def. got something= 25, too for a). Did the same thing for b) as well. And I got 3 for c?</p>
<p>for the last q. when they said even vs. odd januaries, would t=12 mean even or odd?</p>
