Please post your curve predictions below.

Going by the discussion thread…
Science is going to be generous.

Not sure about the others.

English: Usual, maybe even harsher.
Math: Probably the same, maybe a little bit more lenient though
Reading: Very Lenient because that first passage was stupidly difficult
Science: Very generous just because understanding the questions took so long.

First time taking, but based on other tests (Barron and ACT released) I’m going to say…

English: Average, if not a bit harsh. Found it extremely easy.
Math: Average, a little generous. Found it more difficult than some of the Barron’s. Was difficult compared to ACT released tests that I have practiced with.
Reading: Average. I found some questions difficult but otherwise breezed through it.
Science: Very generous. Extremely difficult compared to Barron’s and ACT Released tests. Very difficult to comprehend (At least for me, and I generally do okay on Science practice.)

I agree with everyone here.

I finished English almost 10 minutes early, and I felt it was almost as easy as McGraw Hill. I probably still missed one or two. I think the curve will be rather strict 75=36, 74=35, 72-73=34.
Math was fairly easy except for the usual tricksters towards the end. It is still probably graded harshly, though.
Reading was actually more difficult than I had expected. I got a 33 last year when I took it without any prep, but this year after considerable prep, I felt worse about it. I am hoping the curve will be more generous.
I hope we are all right in assuming the science curve is going to be generous. I felt that the science was way more difficult than any amount of prep (even Barron’s) could prepare me for.

Will there be an additional section in the ACT?

If you mean another mandatory section that factors into the composite, no. Sometimes the ACT gives another section as an experimental. However, there is an optional Writing section that a lot of schools require.

thanks.I mean the additional section that will not be counted as to the score. Like in the SAT, there will be one section, either reading, math or grammar.

^No such section in ACT.

Hmm, I feel like this time’s Science and Reading was not difficult at all. Instead, I feel like English and Math will get a nicer curve, but that’s just me, so…

I feel like the English and Reading were normal. Science I felt was hard. Math was okay but a bit difficult.

English is a little harder than the red book.
Math is harder too.
Reading is probably the same.
Science is a lot harder.

Here would have been my brain in scan for the test:
ENGLISH:
Passage 1-2) Ok, this isn’t too bad. The “where should this sentence be placed” questions pretty easy…
3) A promenade is a walkway, right? Had sang… Had begun, had rung… hmmmmm…
4-5) This is pretty easy now… Meh, maybe one or two errors back there
MATH:
1-32) I’m way ahead on time, not worried
~33) WHERE DOES THE SPRINKLER GO? SKIP!!!
34-50) Wow, lots of trick questions. Good thing I got sleep last night
51-60) Do I need the trig sum formulas… Wait an ELLIPSE!?! *!
BREAK TIME:
Feeling good about math, pretty good about English… Need to do well on reading, then I’ll be set
READING:
Passage 1, First 3 questions) Where the hell did ACT get this passage? Who did he replace anyway? *, I’ve already used 6 minutes…
Passages 2-4) I got a 36 on reading
SCIENCE:
Passage 1) Doing fine so far
Springs passage and Magnets passage) WTF ACT
Candles passage) Thank you thermochemistry
Remaining time) I either did really well or terribly…
BREAK TIME:
I’m probably going to have to retake this…
WRITING ESSAY:
Ok, good prompt, I know what to do. Wait, is that kid over there using his phone? Proctor looks dead. You have 20 minutes. WRITE.
