Estimated scores:

C: 35
E: 36
M: 36
R: 34
S: 35

I think English and math were easiest followed by science and lastly reading. Reading and science will most likely have reasonable curves while English will be strict. Math will be a small curve

Honestly, I have no idea. I’ve been scoring 34-35 on my past 3 ACT Practice Tests (actual tests from the past although not from the Red Book since I did all of those), but this test I really can’t tell. I think I did great on the English section, the Math section was pretty good, the Reading was harder and not as good and the Science was pretty good. Overall I can’t really say, but if I did:

C: 33-36
E: 34-36
M: 32-36
R: 31-34
S: 34-36
Essay: 8-10

It honestly all depends on the curve. I think the English will be curved normally if not curved harder, the math will hopefully be curved slightly more than normal, the reading really should be curved because DAMN that was no fun and the science will have a slightly more generous curve than normal. If they curve the way I think they will, I’ll probably get:

C: 34-35
E: 35-36
M: 35
R: 33-34
S: 35
Essay: 8-10

I had three straight 33s and a 34 the past two weeks when I took 4 practice tests from the Red Book. I think the curve will be pretty generous considering that definitely had to be the hardest overall ACT versus all of the 15+ real tests I have.

C - 33
E - 33
M - 33
E - 31
S - 34

The redbook tests do not reflect the true nature of recent ACT tests… It has gotten wayy harder

@viphan really? IMO the red book tests felt very similar to today’s test.

For all interested in the transformation of the ACT, here’s a great article: <a href=“Is the ACT Getting Harder?”>http://www.thecollegesolution.com/is-the-act-getting-harder/

One note: the red book is built of 8+ year old tests. The percentage of perfect scores was .01% in 1997 and is now up to .07%. Because of this, the act has made minor changes in English, made Math slightly more difficult, Reading more complex with answers that are not so obvious, and science significantly harder with answers that involve application and combination of different sources.

@DaneBrick I personally thought it was harder than 4 of the 5 tests in the red book

Read book tests are not that accurate today. The test has gotten much harder

Remember to include your test form number

@austin23‌ I hope you’re right. If so, I might have got at least a 30… maybe…

Sorry i had form 72D

Several people have already reported on form 72D. That’s good. Hopefully, we all took the same form

I think we all had 72D.
@austin23‌ I hope that you are right because that leaves me with around a 31-33 on a first attempt :)

My Observation/Prediction
The English section was similar to the ones in the Red Book (-6 to 7) Usually miss 5-7 on RED BOOK.
The math was a lil bit more difficult then Red Book (-0 to 3) Usually miss 0-1 on RED BOOK
The new reading was similar to Red Book but the double passage hurt me timewise which affected my scores (-5 to 7). Usually miss 5 to 6 on RED BOOK
Science was difficult, generous curve upcoming (-3 to 6) usually miss 2-3 on RED BOOK
Got 32 twice and 33 thrice on the RED BOOK

I’m thinking that i missed
0 in english (36)
1 in math (35-36)
8-9 in reading (27-30
8-9 in science (27-30)

Composite (31 - 33)

Reading and science were pretty difficult to me so i’m hoping for a good curve

I had 72D (I’m assuming that all of you did too). I thought the math section was definitely harder than the Red Book math sections. I thought the English section was easier, and the Science and Reading sections were about normal. Am I the only one who thought that the math section was unusually hard?
