December SAT International Test Discussion

What do you think -3 to -4 maths could be ?
In some sections, I found like 2 consecutives answers that corresponded to the same letter two times in a row (like 1.A 2.A 3.C 4C). It’s really too weird and I hope it doesn’t mean I picked the wrong answers.

^ Wait how was k equal to 2? I checked before and after and got 4 both times!

What were the values of weight and pounds in the two cases?

ahhh I can’t remember, sorry… but don’t worry I make a lot of silly mistakes so 2 might be one of them… #$%@#%$#WW$%$#$%^^#! me!!

Wait, if this is the fish question, I somehow got K=2/3
and answer as 2/3*(9)^2 = 54!!!

Perhaps we used different methods to get to the answer, but I can’t exactly remember what my answer was - I think 39 (for the fish question).

Ahh, it seemed simple at the time, but maybe I misread it or missed out a point in the question. I really hope not because I got -2 raw score in math for my last SAT I and got 740 and 750 consecutively.

ohhh wait!! are u talking about the fish problem??

I remeber I got 27 for an answer >_<

sorry, I thought u were talking about the problem that had a constant and we were asked to find the answer by knowing what the constant was >> it was easy :P

oh snap! OUNCES TO POUNDS.

**** I think I forgot to square it. Was it directly proportional to the square? Ahhh I think I bloody misread again!

can’t u guys remember any other Qs??

hmmm what about the whale question? i rmr the fluid part lol

Arsh !! so -3 is like 720 and -4… falls under the 700 line

seriously. thats really really really harsh. =[

@ bumble: I skipped that ( it was a SC, right?? ) :P

How do you already know what the curve is??

yup it was. it had to do w/ some mary person idk

There was a whale question…!!! :p

Does someone know who wrote this CR text, where the author, an African-American explains the impact of literature through his adolescence and all ?
I am trying to remember just one sentence or some bribe or something that would get me to him, but just can’t. And wiki’s list of African-American author is really really too long.

Thanks !

did anyone get equanimity as an answer? or hae a passage about alistair?

^ @futball, all us internationals had the same.

The last vocab question was conviviality.

BTW, anyone else notice how the first Math section went A-E then E-A and then for the last, it went the other way

Any guesses on which the experimental was? Personally hoping it was section 5 and not the African American one on novels.

I thought vocab was easy this month.
Writing section 10, #13 & 14 were A right?
