December SAT: Writing

But if the sentence said "if we had", it would be right too. I checked the grammar book, which stated that both "if we had" and "were we to have" are right.

yep, "if we had" WOULDVE worked, but luckily they didnt put both choices lol, so its were we to have

So echelon, it wasn't a choice?

I dont think it was either because I was looking for that answer and it wasnt there so i got screwed up.

Darn. I have no idea what I chose.

the closest they had was "if we have had" or something like that. "were we to have" is correct

Did anyone get "True to form" for one of the answers? It had to do with the wood furnace thing.

so for the paragraph, did anyone have a keep as is answer?

I don't remember any Keep As Is answers.. which question was it? I might be wrong.

well it was for one of the paragraphs i had. but now that i have been thinking about it i think it might have been my exp. i had an exp with a japanese aunt in hawaii.

wow. im getting all kinds of different sections than you. Did anyone have the section on the "governess?" And my essay prompt was different I think. I had something about how truth was usually found in the middle.

hey, rentastrawberry, the governess was in the CR section. and i also had that essay prompt.

lol i can't tell the difference.

writing is where you fix the errors in all the sentences.

crap i was feeling confident about my essay until now. i wrote about gandhi and mlk jr. and now i think i didnt elaborate enough on gandhi. maybe they'll like my conclusions and mlk paragraph that they'll forget about gandhi.....they do that sometimes i heard

omg brosfam, the wood stove paragraph sucked lol, i didnt know if it was "in addition" or "true to form" + the correction on "junk mail and sunday papers" seemed like it wasnt necessary...

If I receive a 12 on my essay, what is the MAXIMUM number of MC (approximate) that I can get wrong and still get an 800? 1?

What about just to get above a 750 ?

To get an 800... maybe 2 wrong at most.
above 750 (-5) so four wrong.

Does anyone remember the answers to the Motown question asking which as the best way to revise the sentence "They tended to be..."?

How about the first Motown q, asking the best way to revise the first sentence. Thanks.

I think it was present tense for "tended to be"
