let discuss the thewhole test here

OK Math question 19 on section something:
15+2x=5k(x+1)
For what value of k (a constant) is x undefined?
or something like that.
Please help. I put 1, although i think that is wrong because when solving for k i get -1 as the answer and that can’t possibly be right.

it was 0.4

What was the answer to the math question about the barrel and the crate?

@Planetfruitcake
I didn’t have that question on any of my math sections?

@hyebinny
2000 kg for the barrel and crate question I believe

Nvm it’s .4 for the math question

THE MATH QUESTION ANSWER WAS 2/5 …because when you plug 2/5 in you get 15+2x= 2x+2…that would make it impossible. ANY other value of K would make the problem work. ONCE AGAIN , the answer was 2/5

k had to equal 2/5 or 0.4 like the person before me said, because if k = 2/5, then 5 x (2/5) = 2, and when distributed, the equation would look like: 15+2x = 2x+2 which obviously doesn’t work. That one took me awhile too.

@nicoleg you put a parantheses that was not there you first multiply K throughout the equation THEN multiply 5 to the x term.

What about the Box question with all the different colored pencils? what were the chances?

^well I saw my mistake, but the parenthesis doesn’t make a difference. Mine wouldn’t be correct because zero still works but yeah I agree it’s .4

@Boom i thought it was 3/4 but i wasnt entirely sure. since after picking the first pencil the only probability that mattered was the second, and you only had a 1/4 chance of getting the same pencil.

It was 3/4

Chance of selecting any matching color is 1/4, 1 - 1/4 = 3/4

Yes, i guessed right yolo

^ that question must be part of the math experimental

That wasn’t a part of math experimental because I had 3 math sections including that one

karatekidd i got the same answer but my logic was…well, it was just that - logic. i just thought it didnt even matter (the mathematical probability of the first box) since no matter what pencil you took out you only had a 1/4 chance of matching it.

Yes it can be .4, but it can also be 3:
15+2x=5(k)(x+1)
15+2x=15(x+1)
15+2x=15x+15
2x=15x (not possible).

it is possible; x=0

anyone got 1800 for crates and barrels and 6radical 3 for the last question (20)?
