a good play that's pretty easy to understand is Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Only about 120 pages and a quick read. There are sites out there that help analyze various themes throughout the book if you every need to write a paper on it.

M. Butterfly! It's a play. Won the Tony.

The Secret Agent, by Joseph Conrad is prrrrobably less than 200 pages. It's fairly good, and easy to read. A bit like Pokemon. Bahaha.

John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" and "The Pearl."

We're reading A Handmaid's Tale (Margaret Atwood) in english right now. I'm rather fond of it... if you like dystopian novels, it might be your thing. Fills up our required CanLit novel unit.

"Ethan Frome" by Edith Wharton is pretty enjoyable

The House of Mirth, also by Edith Wharton, is one of my favorites, but once again, i don't think you'd like it. haha.
