Decision...Decisions... AARRRGHHH!!!

I really need help in deciding for mechanical engineering...
UT Austin vs Purdue
Important factors;
-Indian Population
-Weather
-Quality of education
-Internship opportunities
-Maybe some scholarships to international students...(however rare)
Any suggestions would really be helpfulll....May 1st is approaching....

UT Austin acc. to me. Loads of Indian(most in american form), austin is capital of texas = great internship oppurtunities.
Austin has a much warmer weather, the kind u see in mumbai and education is top-notch.
Scholarship-wise I can’t really comment.
and finally its much easier to get admission in Purdue.

Best of luck :)

you mean american indian ?

10 characters

yup 10char

Then how come purdue always ranks consistently above austin?

Overall, UT ranks higher than purdue. And the difference of ranking between UT and purdue can easily be ignored in terms of Mech eng. Purdue will provide you a bigger Indian population than UT though. But they’re both very comparable academically. In terms of jobs, Austin has branches of the biggest companies in the world (facebook, most recent). I really don’t know much about purdue, but UT is kind of a party school. Depends on where you’d belong.
