Would someone please tell me what link we use to check on line decisions. Also, I never got an ID or Password. Did anybody get them? Thanks.

GW does not show decisions online. You have to wait to get your decision in the mail.

Grrrrrrrrrrr. Thanks!

but if you're talking about the online thingy that everyone is checking their fin aid/merit awards on in the thread, "about decision dates" the link is
banweb.gwu.edu
no one got a ID or password.
on banweb, your ID should be your social security number and your password is your bday-six numbers. like march, 24, 2005 would be 032405
we don't know if you have an award listed means you have been accepted or anything, we're all just speculating. let us know what you see in your account!

I checked the banweb link and when I went to financial aid and awards, it said Presidential Award $18,2000. Does that mean I was definitely accepted?

It's possible, but nobody knows for sure. As chickenlegs said, it's all speculation

Of course it's an acceptance. Why would any university offer $18,200 (especially one like GWU) and then reject you? Moreover, Presidential Scholars are awarded to some of their best candidates.

Presidential Academic Scholarships
Students with outstanding academic credentials are automatically considered for our Presidential Academic Scholarships. In addition, selected Finalists in the National Merit and National Achievement programs and Scholars in the National Hispanic Program are considered for these scholarships.

Has anyone who applied to GW and who would qualify for financial aid found that there has been no award of any aid?

If so, then aid shown as awarded to some of the applicants, would be indicative of a positive decision when it comes to admission.

Some peoples awards have been there one day, and gone the next. Check the whole thread about decision dates for more info on banweb. The bottom line is nobody knows how accurate it is, or what it tells us about decisions.
