Brandeis is BLIND!!!

How did you get your decision? Snail mail?

Psh, at least you didn't get flat out rejected like me. Geez, this is really weird. While my SAT scores are no where near yours, my ECs, recs, and essays were really good (or so people tell me). Agh, Brandeis can't see brilliant people in the making ...

and yes, decisions were snail mailed.

Has no one else heard yet?! I mean, I'm in Portland,OR, so I'm not surprised I haven't heard, but what about the rest of you all?

I'm in Maine and didn't get anything today.

Those who have heard- where are you from?

how the heck did u get waitlisted!!!! now I am very worried :(

Hm, I wish I could be a fly on the wall of the admissions room and see why some people got in and others didn't.

elizabeth22 - I'm from New Jersey, but I was pretty surprised to find that I got the letter so early and no one talking about decisions on collegeconfidential.

philosophia, i'm so sorry! i remember talking to you a while back hoping that you'd get in....:(

i know you'll end up somewhere you love though

Aldeya - I guess that I'm a believer in whatever happens, happens for a reason ... so while I'm a little upset, I know things will work out.

I think what hurt me was that I never got a chance for an interview b/c no one ever contacted me back... but all well, I've still got my fingers crossed for Brown. :)

Your post did make me a little happy, though ... someone remembers me! (haha) ;)

it definitely will all work itself out.. that's the attitude i'm also trying to have as other decisions come out.

i'm glad my post made you smile, lol... and good look with brown! :)

I'm in Boston

Philosophia-

I'm really sorry to hear that you were rejected- been there, done that, and I know it feels terrible. I'm sure you'll end up at a school where you'll be very happy and you'll make them proud to have you.

Ziggy-

I'm astounded that you were waitlisted, and a bit worried for myself now. Remember that this college thing is just a crapshoot, and just because you didn't get Brandeis right off doesn't mean that better news isn't coming.

Good luck to those still waiting.

Ziggy,
I'm sure its Tufts Syndrome that got you. Contact your local reader, or whomever, tell them you really want to go, and you'll be in. But, since you said its your backup, you probably wont bother calling once you get your acceptances. Thats exactly their intention. So if you really need it, i'm sure you can get off the waitlist.

Any more decisions out today? My mail should get here in a few hours.

AHHHHH, what is going on?!

Waitlisted

My brother is an alumnus.

2.5 hour interview that went amazingly well- the interviewer told me he thought I'd be in the running for merit money.

My application can't have been that bad- I've gotten a likely letter from Wellesley and a full scholarship from our state U.

What else did they want?

Daughter not home from school today 'til almost 4! Envelope that just came today from Brandeis is business sized, but thick. Could it be wait list? What does the admission envelope look like? Is it one of those huge ones? Anxious here: anyone offer any info?

Thanks,

Accepted get a big blue fat envelope with the word "congratulations" on it.

I got one.

Business sized but thick = waitlist.

Congratulations, Dadaist.

geez, this is crazy! you guys have great stats!

oh dear...my mail comes in an hour and a half.
