I haven’t received the email yet either…

It’s still very early in Nashville, local time: ~6 AM there right now.
We can begin “expecting” something after 2 hours, and wait… :)

you are right, undergraduate… excited! It’s 7am in the morning, and I’m going to school now…and I’m gonna check my mail every break to see if Vanderbilt sent me a good (or a bad ) news!

Are you sure they’ll email is in the morning or will they wait until the end of their work day before sending us our notification?

Also, do you think financial aid information will also be included or will we have to wait for the snail mail?

I’m afraid they may wait for the workday to end, but seriously, nobody can guess.

However, I bet you will have to wait for snail mail for the financial aid offer.(they send them through Fedex/UPS, which I guess you’ll get in a day or two.)

In my other acceptances, usually schools that do not have online accounts for decisions/applicants send their financial aid offer through snail mail. As they won’t be able to send personalized financial aid info to every one of us through e-mail.(Yet I guess, since the international financial aid receivers are a very small number, it MAY happen)

since they mail them in the “priority envelopes” or whatever, will they arrive with the regular mail, or seperately?

my post office sends a different truck with packages later in the day

For people in the United States, financial aid, if you completed the necessary steps in the application, arrives with the acceptance offer. The acceptance package includes:

1) Acceptance Letter
2) Open-Dores Booklet
3) Financial Aid Award Letter
4) Financial Aid Booklet

I don’t know about internationals though.

I bet the initial e-mail we get will contain only the admission decision.
Then we’ll get the financial aid award through the package.

I’m international as well. Are we getting an email today?

An update: DD received what appears to be an acceptance packet in this morning’s mail. We live in Michigan. Good luck to everyone!!

Michigan? I guess that means that if you DON’T get it today and you live anywhere in the eastern half of the country … you’re toast …

I’m in the eastern part of NC and got a nice big packet today!

PS. Total cost of attendance has gone up to $57,000 yearly. Ouch.

congrats! i hope a big envelope is waiting for me at home as well… does anyone know if rejection/waitlist letters are in smaller envelopes because some colleges put them in big envelopes regardless.

The “regret to inform you” letter came to NJ today too. Good luck to everyone else…

well, still no result.

Still waiting for the email.

Wow, NJ got there’s waiting for mine in CT. Good luck all

Small envelope in IL.

Bummer…

there was nothing, big or small, in SC today. is that a bad sign?

D received acceptance package in Louisiana today. Good luck to everyone!
