I thought the official letters go out first week of April. Some may already know though through likely letters, sunday at square invitations, etc.

and besides, they may be sending out letters in batches, like W&M.

What do you mean they send out letters in batches? NYU does not do rolling admissions, I think everyone gets the decisions at about the same time.

It is possible they do sent the mail out in batches. I know that is what they did for ED because it took about 3 weeks for everyone to hear. Hopefully, they will adhere to their deadline for this round since this is it! Good luck to everyone!

My friend got an official acceptance to the journalism school last week...

"My friend got an official acceptance to the journalism school last week"

Ummm...there is no such thing as a journalism school at NYU. However, there is such a major.

Yes, thats what I meant...sorry! But I do think that she applied to the journalism program or something.

Does anyone know when NYU sends status of financial aid? Do they come with the acceptances, or after?

It comes with.

"But I do think that she applied to the journalism program or something."

Well that depends on what NYU school she applied to. In the School of Ed, you must apply to a particular program. In contrast, in CAS, you only apply to the school and not a specific program...you then pick your major when you're at NYU and know what you want.

BC is sending their letters out in batches. It's not rolling admission and not based on geography. However, it does seem like they sent out rejections then waitlists and soon acceptances.

I'm sorry, what does BC stand for??

Haha, Boston College. It was a random post explaining the randomness of letter-batches.

Ok lol...I thought it was one of the NYU schools that I just couldn't remember :)

i got an acceptance in the email, but i'm international

To reply to an earlier post, I live on Long Island and my friend had already received an acceptance by March 31...I'm not sure of the exact date but it's just another example of a pre-April 1st notification.

Congratulations, Silver! Is that your first choice? I know that you wanted to be in New York...

You've worked really hard - I'm so proud of you! Congrats!

wow silverwavez congrats! looks like you'll end up in NY after all!
