Decisions: March 29th, ONLINE

It was Columbia and Columbia sends their acceptances FedEx priority mail and their waitlists and rejections regular mail. Applicants called FedEx to ask if there was a package being sent from Columbia to their address.
Most of the ivy league send out their acceptances priority mail. Some use FedEx and some use USPC. I dont know which one Princeton uses and if their decisions will be mailed out Wednesday or Thursday.

Guys, I've found the thread. Okay, you gotta go the the UPS website and then put in your address and use the ref number 650 or 651. Then it'll tell you whether or not you're getting a package. This is for Pton btw.

Some schools like Columbia are mailing the packages today, a day before decisions are on-line. Other schools like Harvard according to an article I read mail the decisions at night after the on line decisions are entered which means tomorrow. Does anyone know when Princeton send them out? According to the cc posts for class of 2010, some received their acceptances priority mail on March 30th and most on March 31st. Last year decisions were not on-line and they were all sent by mail. Also decisions were on line for other schools on March 28th last year. So it is not clear if those decisions were mailed out last year on Tuesday, the day before decisions on line at other ivy leagues or mailed out on Wednesday last year. If decisions are mailed out today they could come on Friday or Saturday. If they are not mailed until tomorrow then it would be Saturday or Monday.

Has anyone tried it and did it work?

But what if none of them were mailed out yet? One could check and get freaked out thinking they were not getting one when they might be receiving one. The question is when is Princeton mailing them out. We dont know if they are being mailed out today, and if so in the morning or afternoon, or tomorrow.

I tried but I couldn't find the place to enter your address. I'll try again.

Edit: I found the place to enter reference numbers but I can't find anything that tracks referenced packages to an address. Whatever, who cares.

Can't we all just wait for the decisions, it's only a matter of a few hours anyway! :)

I am waiting for the mail for all my acceptances the old fashioned way

That's true... But it's better to be freaked out thinking you're not getting one and then be proven wrong tomorrow than the contrary...
Pearl - where did you find the ref number for Princeton?

ups.com said that there were multiple shippers with 650 and 651 ref. numbers.

Pton hasn't mentioned when they're gonna mail the decisions, I just kinda assumed that it'd be the 28th, after work. Hm... do you need a ref number for Columbia decisions? Also, do you know when they send them? This morning or after work?

Part of me wants to wait for the mail.
Simultaneously more excruciating and less excruciating, because you don't have to watch that page load.
I'm kinda freaking out.

Which makes it pretty pointless... anyway, after all this waiting, it's definitely better to wait a few more hours and find out the proper way tomorrow night. Although I have to admit that it was a pretty smart idea.

Would you really wait for the mail? The temptation to go on the internet would be pretty bad, though...

I'd much rather find out through Princeton than through UPS :) (either way, really)

I'm going to be refreshing my browser all afternoon tomorrow.

I think I'm going to wait for the post. (Due to superstition, really -- all my rejections so far have been online, which hurts.)

Yes, it is hard to wait, but I know of a girl who checked several decisions on line last year and within five minuites she saw she was not accepted to any of them. She said it was hard to see that all in a few minuites. If one waits for the mail then they are more prepared if they see a thick or thin envelope.

aww...
i don't think i can wait for snail mail. i'm calling at 17.00 sharp and asking!!!

Oh sry about that girl you know collegebound. I don't think this UPS thing is gonna work with Pton because I suspect them to send the mails out tomorrow. But it's still worth trying for Columbia though.
