Decisions to drop AP US History.

Right now I'm in AP EURO history, doing fairly well with an 85 throughout the year. on each test i get about an 80.
Im struggling with the studying because my test is Thursday. I didnt have a great teacher, he skipped some important details that we didn't learn.(should be studying right now ) but I want this to get off my back, and ask for some advice from you all.
Next year Ill be offered AP US Hist, given that Ive been taught US history throughout elementary school and middle school (watered down version) I seem to know it more than that of Europe's history...

Next year Ill also be taking AP Eng Lang and Comp, I know it is a workload with essay writing.
also includes all honors classes ill probably be in... I need to focus on SAT/ SAT II's also.

This year was a lot for me considering that my AP Euro took up 2 periods of my day, stuck in school from 8am-422pm

I can drop AP US hist, just go into US Honors but I don't know.. heard AP US is easier than euro. any suggestions?

It really all depends on your teacher.

Content wise APUSH is easier than Euro. However, my teacher makes the class far more difficult than my Euro teacher.

Ask other students’ opinions on the APUSH teacher and then make your decision.

I wish I would’ve done that.

If you’re only going to take APUSH and AP Lang next year, definitely take APUSH.

Taking 2 APs is nothing.

^You don’t know that for sure, his classes could be difficult.

But I guess, generally hilsa is right. 2 AP really isn’t much… I took 6 this year, though I was greatly overwhelmed by the synergistic effect of everything. If you don’t do many EC’s, even 6 can be easy… so…2 shouldn’t be a huge concern. But if you’re doing badly, getting mostly/all A’s is more important.

thanks. classes might be difficult… precalc, physics, humanities, and latin to add on with what i already have.

Well…I got all A’s in:

AP Chinese
AP USH
AP English Lang
AP Physics C:Mechanics
AP Physics C:E&M
AP Calculus BC

but I also had some really nice/not super strict grading teachers with the exception of USH/English Lang/BC. It really depends on the teachers, is all.
