Heefar, I'm very confident that you'll get in. My page said that exact thing for about 3-4 days before it changed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Did both of you send in transcripts? JT and Heefar?

I'm nervous after reading this board! Mine still says it hasn't even reached the review process! I sent it in the 12th! Do you think the fact that I'm running start slowed it down. I have a 3.7 and a 1220 on the SAT. I also applied as Business Administration major. So maybe they are considering for the FRAP program? I'm so confused! I thought that the UW would be a sure thing but now I'm not so sure! Good job those that have been accepted!

I'm instate by the way.

Dopke I didn't send a transcript, it wasn't necessary for me.

Brett, those stats are pretty good, you have a AI score of 70 with those stats, so don't worry too much. :)

I've heard from past students that admissions can be erratic sometimes. So just in case, you might want to call them if its been more than 3 weeks without a prelim review.

Brett, I also heard it may be because of running start. I am also running start and it will be 7 weeks tomorrow, since I sent it in and its still awaiting a prelim review. But in any case, I think I may give them a call today.

Also, I am pretty sure they consider you for admission into a college seperately from admission into the University.

I just gave them a call, I guess even though their website says you need to send transcript only if you have completed college work BEFORE your senior year (which I haven't, I started doing running start just this fall) they told me I still needed to send in HS transcript. BLAH -.- Sent it in extra early for nothing.

From all the above it is clear:

Applicants exceeding an AI of 70 will hear quickly

Applicants below AI 70 will be deferred to comprehensive review and may not hear for 6-8 weeks or longer.

Some boderline AI people sent to comprehensive review may be rejected to make space for the diversity admits further down the scale.

I also note the Daily article referenced above and its lament that the AI puts too much emphasis on GPA and not enough on test scores. May be too late for some.

My friend heard quickly with a AI of 68. And he isn't URM. :/ I guess he got by.

Does anyone know if you submit application by priority deadline, but submit transcripts after deadline. Are you or are you not considered for priority.

Did your friend have a higher GPA with lower test score, or the other way around?

Hey Johnny...do I know you?....do you have AP Lit 1st period?...

Yes, I did send a transcipt in...Brett I have the exact same stats as you and I also applied under the same major, my page still says what it said before. However, I'm out of state...

he had lower SAT and lower GPA than me

Yeah, I take lit 1st period. Are you Andrew?

^ LOL thats hilarious

Anyway, I sent my app in like Nov. 29, out of state, SAT 1130 GPA 3.4, and its still waiting preliminary review BLAH Im gonna get rejected. Hopefully they look at my essays and activities/community service/extra cirricular. AHHHHHHHH i want to go here so bad.

what state are you from?

I sent in my app on nov. 20 and they still haven't sent me a confirmation letter yet. I just called them today and they said theat they will request a letter to be sent to me. WTF?

yeah...its me Johnny...

Does that admissions office take Christmas Break off?

From New Jersey.
