i was thinking the same thing. im got a 27 inch television as a graduation gift and have no idea where it's going to go. my roommate thinks it could go on one of our dressers, but im not so sure. im thinking about a stand as well.

There isn't really room for a stand in most dorm rooms. Most people put their TV on a desk or a dresser. If you have a huge dorm room though, more power to you.

Would guys use a shower caddy for shampoo ect.? It seems really weird.
If they do any reccomendations? Thanks

I just put my TV on top of a dresser, desk, or on top of a box or some ****.

where do you get a shower caddy?

Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Wal-mart both carry shower caddies.

He probably thought you wouldn't have room? So did you end up buying one? cuz i doubt u'd have the space for a stand. I won't be getting a tv (gonna get a tv tuner card (ext) for my computer).

So far, I have an orange/red theme going -- a red microfiber throw, orange/burgundy sheets, gonna get a deep red throw rug for right near my bed, and a red guitar.

Oh, I also have bought two silver surge protectors, but they'll be on the floor, so i guess it doesn't matter if they don't match :P

I got my shower caddy at Target.

<3,

Izzie Bear

I'm going black and burgundy--black sheets with a burgundy down comforter and black pillows, a gold and burgundy accent pillow, and I'm planning on getting some black rugs. I also have a big sheer black thing to put on my window.

Decorate? Who decorates? :: shrug ::

I have my penguin bed set. That's all I want for special things. :)

I got my shower caddy at Target, too, IzzieBear. :)

target forever!!

..omg a penguin bedset? thats the best thing ive heard all day.

<3,

Izzie Bear

where did you get the bedset, beginning, do tell! :D

My daddy (I'm such a little girl) got it for me around Thanksgiving of 2003, I think. It's a Target product and can only be bought there. If you want to hunt for the set, I still have the UPC from the sheets: 90602 30131. There's also a little throw blanket and some other things that go with it. I don't know if they still sell the set, but if they do, it might just be a seasonal thing.

Beyond that, there's my comforter, which isn't part of the set but might actually be better than it. It's one of those comforters where they take an actual photograph and scan it onto the fabric (it's not as cheap as it sounds), so it's a gorgeous shot of penguins on an iceberg. It actually clashes pretty badly with the penguin sheets, but looks lovely with plain light blue and white ones.

Unfortunately, my set is for a queen size, but I'll just have to tuck the excess fabric under the mattress when I transfer. :p Nothing can pull me away from my penguin bed set! clings

If you really like penguins, my entire bathroom is penguins, too. We even painted the walls light blue and did an "iceberg" look around the bottom. I have sparkly snowflakes all over, penguin bath accessories, a penguin windchime hanging from the ceiling, a penguin bath pillow...needless to say, I love penguins. :)

Oh, and I have a penguin accessories set, too. My soap dispenser has blue liquid with penguins floating in it, and there's a soap dish, toothbrush holder, and trash can that goes with the set as well. That's from KMart, but I've seen single parts of the set at outlets and elsewhere.

I have a friend who absolutely would love such a set, beginning. That's really an awesome "motif" ya got. :)

my cousin (who's in college) has an Absolut motif about her room. Posters and bottles and caps and even a nice solid colored bed spread. The only thing that ruins it is her retro light colored wooden bed frame. Otherwise, she has the whole wall covered in all types of Absolut ads. Some are even kinda cool.

For my room I'm going with pink, black, and Tinkerbell. I got a pink and black Tinkerbell bed set, and a Tinkerbell poster. I also got a couple blakc lamps, a pink and black hamper, a pink chair, and some tinkerbell and fairy postcards. I also have a black and white fairy poster. I think I'll also get a black rug.

I'd advise against rugs simply because it means dealing with the hassle of vacuuming, not to mention storing a vacuum. A black rug in particular is going to make every little spot show up.
