I’ve applied to NYU, BU and Ohio State University for the fall semester but my counselor has not uploaded my transcripts due to unforeseen circumstances. I have emailed the colleges asking them to defer my application and consider me for the Spring semester. I have not received their reply. What do you think will happen ? Has anyone been through this ?
Those colleges will,probably state on their websites if they admit freshman for Spring. I would check there first. This is a very busy time of year for their departments, so you might just have to be patient. I am a little confused though, because my understanding is that as long as your app is submitted on time, nearly all colleges are okay with things that are submitted late that are beyond your control. This would include school transcripts. Why don’t you ask your GC to submit transcripts now?
If your apps were in on time the rest of the paperwork can follow. You should have your GC get it in though. I don’t think spring admits get as much aid as fall admits, so I’d contact the colleges and ask to be considered for fall.
