I got deferred from State. Just sent in my 2nd semester grades. How many students that get deferred from MSU get accepted in the end (for fall term)? I got a deferral from Wisconsin and they have the stats right on there but I can't find the ones for State.

They don’t publish those stats. Anyway, what were the stats that you applied with and what did you got 1st semester?

-I live in Oakland County (That’s bad)
-Cumulative GPA is about 3.4
-7th Semester GPA was 3.75
-30 on the ACT
-Eagle Scout, athlete, A lot of service hours, theater, good essays/letters of recommendation, additional personal statement/letter of recommendation with semester grades
-Only one Honors class until this year, in which I’m taking AP History/Government and Honors Physics as well as a more challenging (but not honors) math course

^Also I go to a very competitive (Catholic League) school. I’m not certain, but I think I’m in the top 50th percentile.

Getting a 3.75 gpa your 7th semester is definitely in your favor. I’d say that you are in (but obviously there are no guarantees). MSU doesn’t publish stats of acceptance from those who were deferred, but I’ve heard that they accept about half of those who are deferred.

Hmm, I just realized I had awesome grammar in my last post lmao.

Anyway, why do you say that it’s bad that you’re from Oakland County?

fa-la-la’s right, that 3.75 is DEFINITELY in your favor. I’d say more than likely in, but keep those grades up.

Best of luck!

The GPA and ACT are good. I’m not sure what they are waiting to see. The 3.75 should get you in.
