deferred applicants

if u or u know someone applied ED, and u/ thye were deferred plz put ur stats ?
just SAT/GPA/ EC's(good, medium)

you really want to go here dont you?

u have no idea.

I think I know.

ya how come? where are u applying

Crichessill-

There are lots of posts on the UVA website, I remember looking there when I was waiting for my letter from W&M. That may help a bit with stats. Good luck to you. I hate this whole process!

can u give me the exact link? by uva website... thats awfully unspecific

I applied to UVa, UCLA, UCSD, and UCSB. But I REALLY want to go to UVa. Reading all those stats made me want to puke they were so intimidating.

Ooops, I mean UVA thread on CC for accepted students. There was a thread for W&M where everyone who applied ED posted their stats and if accepted/rejected /deferred. I thought there might be a similiar thread for UVA applicants. But your in state, so it's a lot easier for you, although with so many kids from your school applying I guess that sucks, they have to have some kind of quota. Did a lot get in ED already? I know we had about 100 kids from my school apply to BC, I know about 6-7 got in EA, my GC said they aren't going to accepted many more RD.

yea we had 35 apply ED, 12 i think got in.
little= judging from the colleges, ur in west ? why uva whcih is in the extreme end? what are ur stats? trust me, even i am scared looking at these stats.

I posted my stats in the rd lounge, but the basics. If you wanted more, I'll give them, but they're not THAT impressive. Yeah, I'm in CA. I have guaranteed admission to a(not necessarily one of my choice)UC, but I'm not particularly fond of the state. UVa has the majors I'm interested in, and are well known for them. UVa also has rotc, a biggie for college tuiution.

i dont see it

it's on the last page, the last person on the list. But anyhow, sat 1330, 18/1000, out of state is all I said on it.

Crichessil, i applied ED. Deferred.

Out of State, Legacy
3.35 gpa(bad freshmen yr)...straight A's 1st semester makes it 3.47
8 AP's
1500 SAT (780m/720v)
32 ACT
730 (Math IC), 740 (US History), still waitin on writing score
Great recs
Money Essays ;-)

is that weighted gpa? i am really surprised u got deferred. maybe because of out of state

Except if you are out of state but are a legacy then you are supposed to be treated as an in state for admission purposes. Do you have any idea what part of your application may have played a role in not getting in?

The gpa...I've heard that U.Va. places a lot of importance on gpa. Still, after a good [and challenging] first semester she definitely has a good chance.

who are u referring "she"... my gpa was 4.32 when i sent my trasncript. if i caluclated it right, it will be 4.43 after this semester wiht 4 AP classes. is that going to help my chances. theres a chance that i might be in top 10%, but i might fall a bit short.
