So I was deferred... I'm scared to write this because everyone is going to jump in and tell me exactly what I already know and don't want to hear... that I'm heading straight to the rejection pile.

All right... here I go. Prepare to be unimpressed.

School: highly elite and competitive new england boarding school
SAT: 1310/1980
SAT II: US History: 710 Math I: 660 Lit:650
GPA: don't technically have one but it's probably a 3.4 unweighted
Senior courses: Precal, Advanced Bio II Genetics, 2 Advanced English courses, Advanced History: TA, elective history courses, French III (took a different language freshman year and was forced to switch, hence the level III), bunch of Psych classes
I'd say I've taken a pretty rigorous schedule of classes throughout high school (obviously did not get stellar grades in all of them)

Have a clear focus in the humanities and have overall had better grades in those courses as opposed to my science and math classes which bring my GPA down
Intended Major: English

Extracurriculars:
Founder/President - Republican Club (2 years)
Vice President - French Club (4 years)
Secretary - Habitat for Humanity (4 Years)
Editor - literary magazine (3 years)
Captain - Tennis (2 years)
Routine volunteer at a local hospital (all 4 four years)

I only submitted one rec ED but I know it was fantastic... so I will be sending my other recommendation which is just as good if not better than the first.
My essays were pretty good. Spent a great deal of time on them.
Have written a really compelling letter of continued interest that clearly spells out why I think JHU is right for me / why I want to go there. It's very genuine since I'm pretty much in love with the school.

Tell me what you think. I already know that clearly my chances are slim but I just thought I'd put this out there in the world...
Good luck to everyone though!
