deferred ea II

Hi Just got deferred from the Early Action Round 2. What are my chances of getting in RD now? Does anyone know the % of applicants that usually get accepted once they've been deferred either EA I or EA 2?

^^^Son got his deferral letter today too. What are you doing to improve your acceptance in regular decision?

I am going to send an email, as well as a hard copy - confirming my interest and new things that have happened since my application. Also, my high school will forward my grades.

I wonder how many kids they defer and what % of those kids get in? Any ideas?

Nope. No idea. If I find out anything I’ll let you know.

Concerned

This is from the Admissions people:

We have our largest and most competitive applicant pool ever this year, so we did have to make some very difficult situations. It is difficult to say what the statistics are since each year is different, and every student’s application is a unique situation. What I can recommend is to be sure that you have any additional information (such as new/updated grades, letters of recommendation, a letter from you expressing your continued interest in WPI) sent to the Admissions Office by the end of the month to be considered with your application when it is reviewed again next month. If you want to talk in more detail, you can definitely give us a call at 508-831-5286. Good luck!

thanks for the info - where did you see this? Did you call them and ask or email them?

from an email response.
