i would like some of yall to weigh in on my chances...i have also applied to unc chapel hill (in state), washu in st. louis, william and mary, clemson, georgia, wake forest u, washington and lee, and bucknell university.

i was also deferred ed to uva this yr and am trying to get back in rd. What i've seen on past threads is that for OOS admissions, its insanley tough to get back in. Now i think if you really show ur dedication then you hv a shot. Since ur Instate to UNC thats also a great school. I think you gotta shot tho

i thought the sats going up 80 pts. and hightened gpa would be a boost...but im not keeping my hopes up either...what about for the other schools?

If your 1st semester grades for this year really go up as much as you say, then you do indeed have an increased chance of being one of the few who are accepted after deferral. After all, they are generally looking for some noticeable improvement, which most people who are deferred ultimately fail to accomplish and are eventually rejected. So you do have a better chance than most, but, of course, going from deferral to acceptance is still hard nonetheless.

If you're instate NC then UNC should be no problem, considering 85% of them are instate. W&M will probably be as tough to get into out of state as UVA, I think you be fine with Clemson and some of the other schools, though something like Wash U might be more difficult.

yeah..washu is definately hard, and was really just a fun experiment for me..but someone just got in there from my class with a lower gpa than me..but his sats were through the roof...thanks for the input.
