post deferral chances

so i got deferred OOS, and was wondering if anyone could chance me to see if i have any shot at getting in RD. thanks in advance!
SAT: 800 CR, 700 M, 700 W
SAT II: 780 Lit, 670 World History
GPA: it's really complicated and confusing, but our school board recently voted to change our grading scale and give more weighting for AP classes. so they're sending new transcripts to all the colleges with the bumped GPA. so on my first transcipt, i have a 3.8, now i have a 3.9. and that's on a 94-100 scale, not 90-100 as most schools use.
APs: 5 AP English Lang, 5 AP Psych, 4 World History, 2 Biology :/
ECs:
SGA
Superintendant's Advisory Council
Dance since age 4(now at a competitive level)
Key Club
Restarted school morning show/news program (i applied as a journalism major)
Model UN
Worked as a hostess at Outback for the past year and a half
Camp Counselor(unpaid) the summer before my junior year
Annual Mission trips to D.C. throughout high school

Awards:
NMSF
Cavalier Achievement Award(given to one student each semester at my school)
National Honor Society
Science Honor Society
Academic Letter- fresh and junior years, given to students w/ a 3.8 or higher

i really think it was my GPA that was holding up my admission before, and i'm really hoping that the bump will help. what do you guys think?

Here is your chance.. honestly i think you have great academics but the problem is that your EC's to me are lacking , if they are better then i would give higher chances but i cannot make that call knowing the amount of applications they are receiving this year. the chances you probably know for deferred applications is 6.98% or close to that, including instate and out state, BUT for you i would say a 35% chance of admission, make sure you have a back-up school.

your numbers are great. even if you dont get in, im sure some great places will want you.
EC's are pretty good. nothing seems stellar or is leadership based as far as i can tell, but you have a pretty good list.
of course we dont know why specifically the admissions office at any school makes their decisions, but if I had to guess, the only thing I could think of are these: maybe GPA??? i don't really think so - if you took tons of honors and tons of AP classes, 3.8 or 3.9, i think should see good. Maybe leadership in EC's was a small issue. I have no idea what your essays were, but they may have been a reason. given that your essays are pretty good, i'd say you'd have a good chance of admission...

does anyone @ UNC know how they feel towards deferred students sending extra reccomendations/emails showing interest?

you CANNOT send anything else except your mid-year grades of course
