Deferred from UCF. Chance me on summer session?

Okay I was deferred from UCF a couple of weeks ago. I went into a clinical depression because this school is my number 1 choice and I can't imagine myself going anywhere else besides Valencia. Here's my stats:
3.67 Weighted GPA
21 ACT
3 years varsity golf
4 years student government
4 years tv production crew
Voted most involved by the senior class of 2014.
Attended Boy's State, and other leadership camps
Employed for the last 2 years at the County Government Tax Collector's office

I will be taking the ACT again to try and raise my scores up, although I am horrible at standardized testing. I will be also writing a letter of intent to UCF pleading my case as to why i should go there. Besides being chosen as most involved by my fellow seniors, I have won a $3000 scholarship from a local organization that can be renewed for the next 4 years. GPA stayed steady for first semester at 3.615 weighted GPA. (This will all be in the letter of intent)

Knowing all these info: What are my chances of me getting accepted into UCF summer?

I have similar stats and I was accepted to summer. make sure you have good essays as they might be the deciding factor.

It really depends, in all honesty. I know that’s something that you won’t want to hear, but it’s the case, in this situation. When an individual is deferred, it’s a college’s way of saying, ‘Listen, we kind of want you at our school. However, we’re not sure you’re cut out for us. Prove that you are.’ Now, I’m going to be honest, as I go to UCF and went through the application process in 2011-2012-UCF cares about your test scores and grades, and that’s really about it. They have SO many people that apply, that they have to be selective in these areas. So the reason they have deferred you is to see if you A.) Did well academically first semester of your senior year (You’ll need to send those grades to them) or B.) You raised your ACT score. They’re looking for one, the other, or both. Nothing else really matters, and I KNOW that’s not what you want to hear, but it’s the truth. So mentioning the awards and scholarships you won won’t really make an impact at all. However, send a letter stating how much you wish to me there. Tell them WHY you want to go to UCF, and what you can contribute to the college as a whole. If you got all A’s and B’s, there’s a good chance they’ll let you in. If you get your ACT score up, even better! As of right now, it’s a 50/50. What are your grades from first semester?

Just got my grades from first semester. Struggled a little bit with my one AP and my one DC class, but ended up with a 3.615 GPA. I read your story and I am quite impressed you got in and it gives me a little bit of hope I can get into Summer Term. Unfortunately, the next ACT is not until February 8th which means UCF is going to take EVEN LONGER to make a decision on me.

If you read the whole story though, you know the real reason as to why I was accepted-I was never supposed to get in. With my stats, I would have been rejected. You might want to be careful-are you planning on living on or off campus? Many people sign up for dorms early on, because UCF doesn’t have enough dorms to house all the freshmen, so keep that in mind when you’re thinking about timing, and when you’ll hear back from UCF. If you take the ACT then, you likely won’t get your results for another three weeks. So that bumps it up to March when you can send your new information, in which UCF will probably take two weeks or so to get back-that bumps it up to almost april, which might be too late for on campus housing:(

I can live off or on, it does not really matter in my situation. I just want to get in there SO BADLY. Even if I don’t I have Valencia or Seminole State to choose from as a CC. I heard from some of my friends that got into UCF that they can’t even sign up yet, so I may still have some chance left.
