For deferred applicants, do the applications get "mixed up" in the RD pile or are they separate? I think I was deferred because my grades dropped (got a couple B's) my last semester junior year. Is it possible Stanford wants to see that my grades have had an upward trend with a harder course load senior year (which they have!) and then I am granted admission/in good standing? I know being deferred is the most confusing decision but if anyone has any insight that'd be great! Thanks :)

ellie…since Stanford defers very few (only 593) unlike their east coast counterparts…they like to keep the deferred group separate from the regular applicant pile…and from this deferred group they usually take about 15% or about 89 students just from this group alone…

…the 15% acceptance rate for the deferred group will be much greater than the predicted ~4% acceptance rate for the regular applicants…

…keep your head up and good luck!
