Deferred Students

I got deferred and i was wondering if there was any chance i could get in through regular decision??

Here are some numbers from the 2006 edition of The Princeton Review’s 361 Best Colleges:

of applicants: 6,485

% of applicants accepted: 48
% of applicants attending: 40

accepting a place on wait list: 466

% admitted from wait list: 17

of early decision applicants: 225

% accepted early decision: 43

Obviously these numbers have changed since 2006; the college has gotten even more competitive because of the current state of the economy. For example, the 2006 Princeton Review book says TCNJ accepts 48% of its applicants, whereas collegeboard.com reports that it accepts 42% (and I wouldn’t be surprised if it accepts even less than that).

The good thing is, since you applied ED, the college knows you really want to be there. Hope I helped a bit. Good luck!

are there any stats on the acceptance of deferred students…?
i only had 24 act… (Retaking) but a bunch of extra curiculars, great recs, good grades(honors courses) and got deferred,… people have told me its pretty hard just to get deferred so i wasnt too gloomy when I got deferred
