Defferred from University of Michigan. Do I have a chance?

Before the common app, UMich would only in rare circumstances (or from certain schools) accept anyone with a GPA below 3.5 unweighted.

They have more applicants this year, and many of them are probably highly qualified.

Thus, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be accepted based on your GPA and class rank. Further, they want to see that you succeeded at a rigorous curriculum, not just that you’ve attempted one.

Your ACT and your ECs will help, but I would advise against getting your hopes up.
