When I first started college, I was an engineering major, until I realized I hated science. I got really bad grades from these classes, so when I transferred to another college and changed my major, my GPA was already really low. Now that I have changed my major, I have gotten straight A's.
My GPA has improved, but not nearly enough for good internships. My overall GPA is 2.78, however, my AA program GPA is 3.89. I am worried that companies will only look at my overall GPA and assume I am not up to par, when in reality I've excelled in my business/accounting classes.
My questions:
1. Will companies only look at my overall GPA?
2. How do I bring it to their attention on an application that only asks for overall GPA?
3. Can a GPA of 2.78 be such a factor?
