Delaware acceptance

yeah i sent mine in in mid october. im just worried cause ive seen a lot of posts with this problem, and i also know a lot of people who this has happened to, so im just having a hard time believing that they just "didnt get to" alllll of those applications you know? im trying to keep my hopes up but the prospects of getting in are getting darker and darker

If they work like Penn State, they do these admissions announcements in batches so maybe that is what is happening here. Just because you haven't heard yet, don't worry. Some of the PSU applicants heard very late in January (positive news). Perhaps admissions can answer some of these questions ?

I loved the campus at BC - I am going to major in English or Psych and probably go into Education. The city of Boston is awesome, and cannot be beat for college. Where do you want to go?

Batgirl,

The campus at BC is really nice and the school has a great reputation. With stats like yours, you should be thinking Ivy. Also, NYU is pretty cool.

i'm guessing UD is out?

Good Luck!

I want your opinion...I'm choosing among UD, Penn State, and Syracuse - Math major.

What do you think?

edowling09... what's your stats?

can you guys post your stats if you got merit and honors?

I got in but did not get merit or honors and im really shocked. I got honors and merit from Northeastern Marist Hofstra and UMass

i got merit (not a ton) and honors, i dont have the greatest gpa or sat scores but im guessing my essay helped a lot cuz im a pretty good writer

gpa- 4.1 weighted (embarrassing unweighted). I take AP Gov and AP Lit and Honors Latin (my school doesnt offer AP). I took honors english and history junior year (my school doesnt let juniors take honors)
school doesnt rank
sat- 1980/2400 (im not saying my 1600 score, its pretty bad cuz i FAIL at math)

Lots of ECs including captain of track team state champions (but im not good as an individual)

wrote my regular essay on sportsmanship and how i dealt with being a captain with 3 other all-scholastics but never won a race as an individual
honors essay about taking latin and how it taught me to think critically and analytically

I got in with a merit scholarship.

alex55 -

female, private school OOS
SATs - 1790 or 1170. 88 gpa, which i believe comes out to a 3.5 UW, i'm not positive though becaue my school goes between 70-100. AP classes, good extracirrular, especially for my major poli/sci. i've had strong grades throughout this year and took some challenging courses. i know i was at the lower end of the spectrum which is why i'm extremely nervous.

D is admitted to Honors College and will get $10k merit as a "University of Delaware Scholar"

OOS - NJ
4.56 weighted GPA
rank 4/208
2290 SAT (740 CR/790 M/760 W)
7 APs Jr & Sr year
Treasurer Natl Honor Society
