Denied Admission because of 2nd Semester Grades?

My grades have dropped a bit since first semester - okay, a lot. From a 100 weighted GPA to a 95 - and Im just wondering if I could really get rejected for a few point difference between my overall GPA and my 2nd semester grades? I plan on getting it up to atleast a 98.

Its possible. If you applied early action, your admission is contingent upon you staying in very good academic standing. My GPA went from 4.03 to 4.02 because I earned a B…What were all of your letter grades like?

Have you already heard back from them?

I’d be extremely worried :frowning: I’d give you a 10% shot of still getting in…theres still community college though. You’re not stupid with a 95% average, but its going to be tough to make it in today’s job market. I’d add 10 extra-circulars maybe take your SATs again if you didn’t get a 2400 and skip prom to volunteer at an orphanage to add to your resume. Good luck though! :)

^Obviously he’s joking. . though if you examine other people’s thread you might think he would be serious lol.

Honestly it shouldn’t hurt you that bad, but I do not know what a 95 is worth on a 100 scale. If it’s equivalent to a 3.8(which I think it is) then I just been ■■■■■■■ sadly.
