I got deferred from state; which I was expecting due to low gpa. I ended with a 2.6 gpa, and I still decided to apply. I am going to CMU this fall as an incoming freshman, and I plan to get a high gpa and stay focused! I really want to transfer to MSU second semester but,… MSU sent me this:
"I encourage you to speak with your high school counselor about your future educational plans. If you are interested in attending Michigan State University at a future date, you would be eligible to apply for transfer admission after the completion of 28 semester hours of transferable coursework (post-high school graduation) at another college or university. To find out more about MSU’s transfer admission process, please visit our website or contact our office "
MSU is my dream school and i would love to get in as soon as possible! does anyone think i can get in second semester or is it REQUIRED for me to complete 28 hours! If anyone has any tips, or advice please let me know !!(: thank you!
From the information that I know they would require you to complete 28 credits no matter what. They do this to confirm that you are a good student and want to see your performance for the entire year. If you had a higher GPA and a high SAT and were close to admission to MSU there is a possible chance of you getting admitted after fall semester. In your case I doubt it. Just work hard and get the best GPA possible and apply after your first year. Im sure you will be able to make it in!!!
