Hey. I got my acceptance packet yesterday (12/12).
34 ACT, 4.3 GPA (weighted) and a bunch of e.c.'s that I don’t want to bore you with
Got the Presidential Scholarship, which was $16,600 /year

So obviously their scholarship decisions are rolling; there was another kid at my school who was offered the same package.

Official acceptance package from Depaul arrived this morning. Presidential $16.5K and invitation to apply to Honors program.
Cassie - do you know when we should get info on how to apply to comm service/leadership programs?

Psblstnr -
I received my acceptance package with the Presidential Scholarship and invitation to the Honors Program today. On one of the pages in the package there was an invitation/information on how to apply to the community service and leadership scholarships. I’m not sure if that’s what you mean by programs, but if it is, look at the pages again, you might have missed it.

To reallyradryan and psblstnr: If you application was sent 10/15, the only for sure date I can say that you will have received the admissions decision by is on or before January 15th. The counselors do the applications on a rolling basis, and while it is exciting that so many people are applying to DePaul, it does take some time for all decisions to be made. And if the “For admitted students” tab pops up on campus connection, while that can be assumed that it is a good sign, no decision is final until the applicant receives the hard copy packet in the mail.

would it be a good or bad idea to call the admissions office and ask about my application? on campus connect it says my application was complete 8/31, and i still haven’t heard anything.

a couple people from my school have been accepted, and they all applied months after me. if they review based on geography, should i have heard back by now too?

Most definitely call your counselor-just to double check and make sure everything was in on time. To cover all of your bases, be sure to both email and call him/her.

Sincerely,
Cassie Snyder

I just saw on Campus Connect the “For Admitted Students” so I hope that is a good sign. I’m excited to see what happens. Just curious, I know the theatre program there is intense, but is there a way for someone to get involved who is not a music or drama major?

So, I’ve seen many of you have been accepted. Did many of you got your acceptance by mail or by checking online? I have checked the website, and there is no change since I finished and submitted my app. I finished my app about 15 days before the due date so is a long time ago and I’m starting to get worried, as many of you are even getting your scholarships.

I got my letter and my scholarship by mail. I honestly don’t know if it was available online, because I wasn’t that eager to check because the only reason I applied is because my brother goes here. Good luck!

I got deferred and they are asking for my 7th semester grades and some supplement questions. My college counselor who used to be an AO at depaul said this is what most likely would happen but that if I could keep my GPA up (expected low 3.4 expected high 3.7 (4.0 scale weighted)) that I should be just fine.

RedPandaZ, I don’t understand why you were deferred. I got in and not even sent SAT scores (applied test optional) and my GPA is not so great a 3.22.

Bad overall GPA (2.6) but a good trend (1.6-1.7-1-2.8-2.9-3.1-3.0-) and I got a 27 on the act. Not to sound cocky, but I think I should get in basing off my 7th semester gpa. (Fingers crossed still)

Applied on 11/15 for EA to the School of Business, and was complete 11/28. 3.1 overall 1660 SAT. Checked yesterday and the “For Admitted Students” tab finally appeared! Just like others have posted when you click on it there are a series of new tabs the first of which is a “Welcome” tab that has a congratulations email. So psyched!!!
