This may seem like a dumb question to many, but I was wondering if receiving a detention would hurt my chances of getting into a CSU. If it helps, I received the detention for skipping a school rally and eating lunch with my friends (it makes i seem like we cut our fourth period class). Will it appear on my student profile? No it should not affect your chances as long as it is not listed as a disciplinary action on your transcript.
