<p>I totally thought it was an acceptance letter, but it wasn't. ):
Anyway, just i wanted to know if other people got it.</p>

<p>ya i got it too, plus a similar one from berkeley. the people in the berkeley forum were saying that it didn't mean much, but idk.</p>

<p>got 1 from SD, but didnt get one from berkeley. oh wait, i didnt do engineering in berkeley </p>

<p>i'll just consider this a "yay, they're trying to make me feel better...?" email :)</p>

<p>i don't think it means anything. i mean you get into a college, not a major. they review you for a major only after you are accepted.</p>

<p>i think the fact that they say you are a top applicant is a good sign...though i applied to both schools undeclared so idk about this particular situation</p>

<p>The cuts scare me about me chances a little since ucsd is taking a 12% hit.</p>
