Did anyone sacrifice it all junior year?

tbh. The only thing that would excite my school is weed -__- or clothes

■■■■■ dude, thats the same thing with my school.
which is why i dont wanna go back senior year
but yeah the only thing which gets my town pumped up is pot, ■■■■■, and alcohol.
everyone thinks theyre gonna be lil wayne or mike jordan
but thats besides the point.
anyways, yes but i would say these are the 3 general best to start if your tryna do something bold:

 1. quidditch
 2. dodgeball ( i started this)
 3. a comedy club ( i also did this. basically something where i get alot of funny kids on stage to do standup and donate admission prices to charity.)

i think quidditch is amazing if youve got the guts to pull it off, otherwise i think its easy to pull off the other 2 as well.

It’s the 4th year math class at our school for those not going into (Calc AB pre calc) its a double period

Freshman: Alg 1
Soph: Alg 2/trig
Junior: Geometry /AP stats
Senior: AP calc AB/ pre-calc or college alg

i placed out of alg 1 freshman year. and college alg is going to place me out of the 6 week summer course for calc ab

@bluedevils31, I salute you. I wish you the best of luck with all those APs next year. I would never be able to pull that off.

Oh god, I don’t think I ever went over an hour or two without thinking about college, SAT, AP tests, and getting A’s. And on TOP of that I went through a break-up, which made me merry happy.

It was terrible. Definitely broke down and cried during homework like a thousand times. Faked illness so I didn’t have to go to school, ended up not caring about detention for sleeping in (which would have killed me before), eventually stopped doing homework at home at the end. Terribleterribleterrible. But at least I can say I survived and am getting credit for my stupid APs.

Go junior year veterans! :D

na, nobody will want to do that. Everyone in my school likes to keep to their group.

@megafund, dude we go to the same small town suburban boring type of school.
the potheads hang out with the potheads. the football players hang out with the football players and so on. thats what i thought too, but if you get one sponsor: like the local pizza guy. you can say something like “if you come, unlimited pizza”.
and maybe you can hook some people and have a good time.

@mwcollege12, thanks man, although i probably wont end up doing everything, i’ll let you know how it goes. whatre you doing this year

Any tips for time management?

Next year I’m taking:
AP French
US History
AP Chemistry
AP Lang
APES
MAth III (Precalc)

I do a lot of extracurriculars…
My SAT scores aren’t where I want them to be, so you might as well add that in.
Oh, and I’m taking SAT Bio (w/o AP Bio) in Oct.

Any recommendations?

I just finished my junior year. I took APUSH, APCHEM, APLAC, and APGOV, and this was my first time around taking AP classes. I was also very involved in debate and my school AV club. I found that if I managed my time well, the work was not that bad, but I had horrible time management skills and would rarely ever start my homework prior to 9PM, and I would also procrastinate. As a result, I was often up until 1 or 2 AM and would have to be up around 6-7 AM. The worst part was that debate tournaments run from 3-11 PM Friday and 7AM-9PM Saturday, so I only had one day to really sleep in. I got very sick in December, to the point if where I was vomiting blood and had to go to the ER because I wasn’t allowing my body to rest. Thankfully, I started to relax some and develop better time management skills, which made my second semester much more bearable. I really enjoyed my classes though, and would rank my junior year as my overall favorite. I just wish that I had been better with my time management because I would have been able to focus better and not be as stressed out. Being proactive about your studies can make all the difference in your social life, academic life, somnolent life, and allow you more time to focus on your own pursuits as well. Good luck to the upcoming juniors!

School didn’t really affect my life much, junior year or not. Yes, there was stress involved with big homework assignments, but other than that, I whiled away almost all my free time not devoted to extracurriculars by reading, which is how it’s been ever since the summer before kindergarten. I really didn’t feel like AP classes are much harder than other classes, with the exception of AP US History and World History, because I am not a history person. AP sciences, and surprisingly, languages, felt like a joke for me. AP math was basically a nonentity. Self studying APs also was much less work than actually taking the class, and aside from history and some occasional tests, I didn’t study for any other tests for more than an hour, and winged them whenever I felt confident. I wouldn’t give up my way of life for school and am glad I don’t have to.

6 aps out of 6 possible classes, and a social life ;)

But that’s just because I’m in AP Psych and AP Euro for two (fun, fun classes.), I love AP Bio, and APUSH and AP Lang are standard at my school. Calc AB isn’t too bad.

We shall see. God’s grace :)

Yeah, all of junior year, and so far the first quarter of senior year, but only three more weeks until the first quarter is over, and I finally get my life back.

Junior year isn’t going bad for me at all. I actually think it’s easier than sophomore year -_-

Not so bad so far. Worse than soph year, but still not over the top. Then again, I’m only taking 1 AP. USH honors is kind of killing me though. My teacher despises the essays I write.

Well, after this week, then I won’t have anymore assessments in AP Physics, there won’t be anymore long papers in AP English Lit, and after next Tuesday, I’ll basically be done with AP Gov. All I have left really is AP Spanish Lang (which is a killer hard course if you aren’t a native speaker) and Multi Calc, which is pretty damn easy. Just can’t wait for this first quarter to end.

Yeah - I did IB. Mistake.

I’m a junior right now, taking
AP French
AP Chem
AP Physics B(self studying Mechanics C)
AP US
AP Calc BC
Honors English

It’s not that bad considering my school has block schedule so I typically have 2 days to do homework and whatnot. I get home at 5 and try to sleep at 10 if possible. So yeah, not that bad. :p

When from no AP’s sophomore year to 5 AP’s junior year:

 • AP French
 • AP Calc AB
 • AP Physics B
 • AP U.S. History
 • AP English Language

It doen’t seem so bad. I got to bed between 11 and midnight (I’ve been doing that since freshman year), but I’ve been falling asleep in class (which is new so early in the year).

Doesn’t hurt my grades though. ;)

I’m thinking about Dual Enrollment in the Spring…

I’m taking 2 ap’s and 2 honors and I feel like I’m tired everyday…why am I so weak… -.-

I’m taking 5 APs right now (Spanish Lit, English Lang, Physics B, Calc AB, and APUSH) and it wouldn’t be that bad if mock trial season wasn’t right now. after mock trial season ends I might consider self studying Psych or Human Geo for the AP exams.
