He was across the street and three random guys just jumped him. I'm was scared out of MY MIND. They were all college students I'm pretty sure. The kid who got beat up looked a little geeky but that's no reason to beat someone up : [

wow I guess no one cares. : [

I don’t think it’s that no one cares. I’m just not sure what people would say. The whole event really sucks and it’s pretty sad, but that’s all I can really say.

What do you mean by “beat up”? “Beat up” as in he had to go to the hospital?

Did a lot of people witness this event or was it like something sneaky?

Beat up as in he was punched in the face, kicked around, had his pants pulled down a little if they stole his wallet. : [ Like it could’ve been anybody. One of us.

Yeah, there were about 10 people or so watching.

Wow, why didn’t anyone help the poor fellow?

there were THREE guys on him. I feel so bad for him. He didn’t deserve it. The sad thing is that I’m pretty sure the guys who beat him up were BERKELEY STUDENTS.

***? 10 people are watching and they don’t help? Come on, 10 vs. 3. If I was there I wouldn’t go in and help im alone but I would start encouraging the other people to come help with me… That no one started helping THAT’S even more sad than someone getting beaten up. What happened to Berkeley students and all that leadership talk?

lol yeah that’s true. I didn’t think about that. but there were a group of asian guys and girls. There were kind of laughing which is weird. Like i don’t think they were laughing at the situation but they were all just happy when that was happening. I was like what the f.uck??

maybe no one is talking about it because it didn’t happen? I’m sure someone would call the cops

Really? Are you serious? WOW. IT DIDN’T HAPPEN??? That is the DUMBEST thing I’ve ever read.

Doesn’t seem very believable actually. At least not the they were all ‘BERKELEY STUDENTS’ part. Maybe if it was 2am Friday night, but probably not even then. And students obviously not be happy seeing that happen but would probably be too afraid/confused to actually do anything in that moment. It’s not like you did anything…

It was 2 AM but it was Wednesday night. And there are lots of people on the street because they are studying at crossroads and stuff. So actually yeah…it is kind of believable. That’s really low of you guys to make that kind of a judgment. Why would someone make something up like that?

And that site scares me. I didn’t know so much crime goes on here. I wished I called the cops but even now it’s probably too late.

Batman, did you even read Phoobah’s post?

@thomas: You took all the words out of my mouth.

Anyway, snowflake did you do anything? Call the cops? I hope so instead of just making a thread about it and complaining that other people were just laughing. The whole story is kind of said, because if I find myself in a similar situation I now know that I cannot count on any bystander to do anything other than laugh.

I was going to call the cops but by the time I realized they jumped this kid for real, they had already run off. If you do get in this situation, SCREAM your head off. I heard that gets even the person doing it scared. Then the person who is beating someone up is shocked that someone is yelling in their ear.

"because if I find myself in a similar situation I now know that I cannot count on any bystander to do anything other than laugh. "

??? Losing your faith in humanity from a CC thread? I hope that was sarcasm.
